Common questions

Is my encryption safe from quantum computers?

Today, no known quantum computer breaks real-world TLS, VPN, or stored encryption. The risk is long-term: data encrypted today with asymmetric crypto (RSA, ECC, Diffie-Hellman) could be decrypted in the future if an attacker has stored it. Symmetric crypto (e.g. AES-256) is less affected by known quantum algorithms. Assess by data lifetime and sensitivity; prepare via cryptographic inventory and agility (ability to swap algorithms later).
