Post-quantum cryptography standards: current status

NIST's PQC process has selected algorithms for key establishment and digital signatures. Standardization does not imply immediate replacement; coexistence and hybrid approaches are expected. Standards availability does not equal operational readiness — implementation maturity and ecosystem readiness vary.
